Why do women need my help?
We’ve all been there as women in journalism and the media.
That feeling you’re not on a level playing field with men when it comes to your work being as respected, your ideas being listened to, your capabilities being acknowledged, or your pastoral needs as a woman being met. Confidence can quickly become undermined.
What is coaching and mentoring?
I ‘walk alongside’ women in the media to transform their confidence, to get them feeling empowered, with a healthy work-life balance.
I work with you as you gain clarity on what your goals are, both in and outside of work, and what action is needed to get you to where you want to be.
How does it work?
Working with me 1-2-1 over the phone or by Facetime/Skype you will be encouraged, motivated and challenged with self-reflection and honesty.
I will confidentially support you to develop and achieve your own unique goals for life, work and home, while overcoming barriers, ‘limiting beliefs’ and setbacks along the way.

I believe that to be happy and fulfilled as women in journalism we must not sacrifice our confidence, our work-life balance or our sense of self.
All too often we “masculinise” ourselves to try to succeed.
As an accredited coach and mentor, I support women to realise their own potential, learn what they really want from life and work (‘a-ha moments’) and help them gain new levels of confidence. I coach them to value their own abilities and take action to get to where they want to be.
Having spent the past 17 years as a professional broadcaster, journalist, writer and editor at BBC News and BBC Sport, I understand the demands of juggling a high-flying media career with a balanced personal life.
And I feel nothing qualifies me more to walk by your side as a coach than having moved forward from some serious challenges of my own…
